Permanent Makeup

Permanent Brows

Permanent brows is a BIG decision and it's important to not only fully understand the cosmetic tattoo process, but also understand your options, and find an artist that you not only feel comfortable with performing this procedure on your face, but also that you feel shares your aesthetic for the style of brow you prefer.

Micropigmentation, or Cosmetic Tattooing are fancy terms for tattoo makeup.  In short, Permanent Makeup is a tattoo on your face, created to give the look of natural eyebrows or eyebrow makeup.  There are many different techniques of permanent brows, and it's extremely important to understand exactly which technique you're wanting, and which technique your artist will be using on your skin.

Mircoblading is a trending term and technique used to create life-like hairs.  This is NOT a technique I offer, or a technique I recommend.  Microblanding literally translates to "small blade" and uses tools to cut slices in the skin, in which pigment is then rubbed into the cuts, creating the look of brow hair.  The problem with Mircoblading, is that it disrupts the integrity of the skin, which can cause permanent scarring.  This technique is not suitable for those with mature skin, sun damaged skin, oily skin, thin skin, sensitive skin, those prone to scarring, easy bleeders, or those who have had previous cosmetic tattooing. Very few individual are even candidates for this technique, and even still, I do not recommend it.  Especially when there are safer, and less painful options.

I only offers safe Cosmetic Tattooing used with a tattoo machine.  This is the exact same method as body art tattoos, the difference being the pigment is implanted into a different layer of the skin (not as deep as a body tattoo), and the pigment is of different composition than traditional body ink.

Think of it this way, your skin is like fabric.
If you pin a name tag on your shirt, and you wear it all day long, at the end of the day, you can take off your name tag and you won't even be able to see where you had poked those holes.  You can poke the name tag pin into your shirt the next day, and the next day, and your shirt will remain fine.  This is similar to a tattoo with a machine using a single needle.

Now, if you were to take a razor blade, and cut a slice into your shirt, what would happen?  You would then have a big hole in your shirt, and you would ruin it.  In order to repair your fabric, you would have to sew it back together.  That would be called a scar.  That is the same as microblading.  When you cut your skin, your skin has to repair itself using collagen, and results in scar tissue.

CONSULTATION

If you're considering a tattoo or permanent makeup, you should have a consultation!  This is an important part of the process so you can not only meet your artist and make sure they're a good fit for your style and aesthetic, but also so you can learn about their technique, and know exactly what to expect with the process.

PHONE CONSULTATION - COMPLIMENTARY

I offer a phone consultation free of charge where I'll confirm that you're a good candidate for permeant makeup, walk you through the process, and answer any questions you may have.

This is especially helpful for clients who have a busy work schedule, who are out of town,

or who plan on having their brows done while visiting Southwest Florida and may not be available

to come for an in-person consultation.

IN-PERSON CONSULTATION AND FULL BROW MOCKUP - $50
Some clients may wish to come in for an in-person consultation to meet me and have a brow trial before making the permanent decision.  During this 20-30 minutes consultation, I

l'll perform a basic skin analysis to determine which technique will be most suitable for you, a brow evaluation to give you a recommendation on style based on your current brow condition, and create a full brow mock up drawing that you can wear home to "test-drive" your new brows.

The cost for this appointment with brow mock-up is $50.  Should you book your brow appointment during your consultation, that fee will be applied toward your procedure cost.

Please contact me for a phone consultation, or to book an in-person consultation,

*PLEASE NOTE:  For clients that have had their eyebrows previously tattooed, I typically do not touch-up other artists work.  However, if you are unable to followup with your original artist, I will gladly evaluate your current brows.  If I determine your brows to be too dark, too saturated, and/or have a shape that cannot be corrected, a pigment removal session(s) will be recommended prior to scheduling your appointment.  You can learn more about tattoo removal here.

I cannot guarantee results for cover-up work, however I will do my best to accommodate your request and offer what options I can to proceed forward and make you happy!

CUSTOM PERMANENT BROW OPTIONS

My permanent brows are custom and completely unique to you.  Factors that contribute to determining your unique brow style include: your skin type, facial shape, current brow condition, amount of brow hair, undertone, and personal style.

POWDER BROW is a style of permanent brows created by machine shading. Shading is a technique that achieves the look of brows that are filled in with soft powder makeup.  Many different custom brows can be achieved with this method, and the results can range from a subtle and natural appearance to a more bold “on fleek” look.

This option is great for clients who normally fill in their brows with makeup, wear makeup daily, and/or prefer a more polished look.

NANO HAIRSTROKE, or Machine Hairstroke is an advanced technique that is suitable for many skin types (unlike Microblading, which very few individuals are candidates for.)  It provides the same appearance of natural hairs as Microblading, but there is less trauma to the skin, and longer retention.  Instead of using a manual tool to create cuts in the skin, a single needle is used with a tattoo machine to carefully create individual hairs.

This is a fantastic option for clients who have very space brow hair, or are lacking brow hair altogether, and are wanting a completely natural brow look.
